DAWN DUMONT

|
Dawn Dumont, of undetermined age, grew up in Saskatchewan on Okanese reserve,
possibly the smallest reserve in Canada. Dawn eats a lot of pizza and potato
chips but no fries because they're fattening. Dawn takes acting classes
and improv classes at the Second City Training Centre in Toronto. Dawn left
the Mixed Nuts comedy troop in December and we wis her the best of luck
in the future.

LAWRENCE
DYER

|
Lawrence was born in Trinidad and grew up in La Belle province. Somewhere
along the line he wandered over here. Like Robert Johnson he found himself
at a crossroads: his choice - either be the token black in a troupe of whites
or be a token black in a group full of tokens
let's just hope his
decision wasn't a pact with the devil.

VIVIAN
HOR

|
Vivian was lured into the group in guise of an ESL class hoping to better
her English only to find herself playing Asian female characters with heavy
accent. Pretty easy, since that's her real life accent. Talk about a challenge!
Being a director at a local multi-cultural TV station also helps her gain
insights into the array of idiosyncrasies of different ethnic groups - especially
her own.

TANYA PILLAY
|
When Tanya isn't testing software usability, she is
improvising spoof movie trailers for the Internet. Sometimes shes
on roller blades, tap dancing, swing dancing, singing show tunes, or playing
a variety of East Indian characters with Mixed Nuts. This is her instinctive
approach to attaining enlightenment; if you know of a better way, please
let her know as soon as possible. Tanya actually left Mixed Nuts TV following
our gig in August. Not because she hated us -- don't get that idea. We'd
just like to say we appreciate her efforts and support along the way. Thanks
T.P. Best of Luck.

TRACY
ROBERTSON
 |
Tracy was raised by Scottish wolves in the backwoods of Louisiana. How did
Scottish wolves get to Louisiana? We'll never know. But she was rescued
by hunters and dropped off on a city corner by York University. Having nothing
better to do, she enrolled in the theatre department. There she found her
calling. Al Waxman took her under his wings. Okay, okay, she just took a
couple of classes he taught. Can you tell she's a name- dropper. She's now
looking for other famous people to meet.

KATHERINE WALKER

|
Determined to follow in the footsteps of her nomadic forebears, this Plains
Cree roamed the prairies for a while in search of the elusive buffalo. A
rumour that buffalo had been spotted on the streets of Toronto drove her
from the place where the foothills of the Rockies meet the prairies to where
the sludge meets the lake bottom. While here, Katherine Walker has attended
the improvisational comedy program at Second City, and gone to school to
become one of those there ejermecated Indians. Kathy left the Mixed Nuts
comedy troop in December and we wish her the best of luck in the future. |
